The Habits Wellness Guru Latham Thomas Relies on to Own Her Glow

Latham Thomas is a wellness guru and doula, and she’s been helping women thrive during childbirth and motherhood for a long time.

She’s the creator of MamaGlow.com, the author of Mama Glow, a guide to healthy pregnancy, and has guided people like Alicia Keys (you know, NBD) through the process of becoming a mother (you know, super simple stuff).

But her new book, Own Your Glow, takes her message of wellness, creativity, and spiritual expression to all women attempting to live their best lives, regardless of whether there’s a baby involved. “We have the ability to take what life has handed us and transform it into something new, something greater than even we could imagine,” Thomas says. “That innate creative force within all women—cosmic-creation vibration, that potent instinctual energy that awakens within us, plus fierce femininity—that is what I call glow power.”

How Does Latham Thomas Live a Nutritious Life?

What’s your go-to breakfast? Acai with blueberries, Anita’s Coconut Yogurt, and homemade granola.

Your go-to workday lunch? One bowl meal: greens, quinoa, sauerkraut, cherry tomatoes, pepitas, avocado, and seaweed.

Your go-to workday dinner? Warm kale, farro, and mushroom salad.

What’s the one food you always have in your fridge? Lemons.

The snack you always have with you when traveling? Almonds.

Your favorite food indulgence? Vegan green tea ice-cream.

How often do you exercise, and what’s your workout of choice? I walk a few miles daily. Then yoga is my preferred movement.

Which workout would you NEVER do? Anything boot camp oriented.

What’s your go-to tool for managing stress? Meditation.

Do you have a favorite health gadget? My Saje Wellness Ionizing Diffuser.

How do you express and spread love? Through being present with the people I love, by being a good listener.

What does it mean to you to “live consciously”? To be present and living in the fullness of each moment.
