Hot and cold are opposites that attract when it comes to flavors.

Here, we’re talking about cooling Greek yogurt and spicy chili powder, which, combined, create a tasty way to kick up those pieces of chicken before you throw them on the grill.

No grill? You could also marinate your chicken and then bake it or throw it in pan on the stove.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup low fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • to taste salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 pounds skinless chicken breasts

DIRECTIONS

  • Whisk the yogurt, olive oil, chili powder, garlic, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  • Place chicken in a container and pour yogurt marinade over the breasts. Cover and let sit in the refrigerator overnight.
  • Preheat grill.
  • Remove chicken from marinade and season with additional salt and pepper to taste.
  • Brush hot grates lightly with oil, and grill over medium heat until chicken is cooked through.

WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

The standard grilled chicken breast gets a simple, fast upgrade thanks to a tasty marinade that also provides probiotics and antioxidants.
