Like a lot of holiday party foods, eggnog can be a serious calorie bomb.
But if you love it and want to enjoy it by the fire in your Christmas sweater, there are ways to do it in a way that’s not as awful for your health.
This approach changes up the standard recipe a bit to cut out some of the sugar and dairy and add in better ingredients. Instead of heavy cream, we use coconut milk and add creamy, nutritious avocado.
Listen, this is still no protein smoothie. Drink it in small servings to toast to the season, not as a regular everyday beverage.
