Apple Fries and Dip

apple-fries

Here’s a list of some things you can cut into thin slices made for dipping and call “fries”: carrots, cucumbers, roasted sweet potatoes…and apples.

Call them fries and kids will want to eat them, right?

Okay, even if they’re not tricked by the clever nomenclature, it’s still a tasty, crowd-pleasing snack you can whip up in two minutes flat.

Just make sure you’re using the best ingredients: look for peanut butter that has one ingredient—peanuts—or just a tiny bit of added salt.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 ounces Greek yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons peanut butter
  • 1 apple, cut into small “sticks”

DIRECTIONS

  • Mix yogurt with peanut butter until smooth.
  • Cut apples into thin “fries.”
  • Dip fries into yogurt dip.

WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

Apples and nut butter have always been great together, but this adds gut-healthy yogurt to protein-rich peanut butter for a snack that really delivers a nutrient boost.
