There’s nothing surprising about Sue Cowie, 61, demonstrating slam ball exercises—and that’s the power of The Fine Line.
Cowie saw that women’s magazines tend to speak only to young women or offer outdated ideas about aging, so she created the site to speak to women over 45 about real wellness. “Women over 40, 50, 60 plus, are so different today—we are healthier, sexier, and aging unlike any generation before us,” Cowie says. “We understand this woman and want her to be seen, heard, and celebrated as she should be.”
To do that, the digital publication covers topics that older women care about—like beauty and fitness—from a perspective that embraces aging, like talking openly about menopause symptoms and styling natural gray hair.
And super fit, energetic Cowie is the the perfect face of the brand: Her approach to living well at any age focuses on practices (that sound a lot like our eight pillars!) “Sleep, water, fiber, exercise, excellent nutrition, acupuncture, and mindfulness,” she says.
Find out more about how she incorporates that philosophy into her day-to-day life, below.
