Cucumber Feta Greek Yogurt Dip

healthy hamburger and hot dog toppings

If you love Greek food, you probably love tzatziki.

The tangy, creamy dip is ubiquitous in Greek cuisine, served with warm pita, on gyros, and in many other ways.

This Cucumber Feta Greek Yogurt Dip is inspired by the delicious dish. If you want to do it the real Nutritious Life way, chop up fresh veggies like red peppers and tomatoes for dipping.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 cups Greek yogurt
  • 1 English cucumber, peeled, seeded, finely chopped, and spread on a paper towel to remove excess moisture
  • 8 ounces crumbled feta
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons scallion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

DIRECTIONS

  • Mix all ingredients well. Prepare a few hours in advance and leave in the refrigerator for flavors to marry. Serve chilled.

WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

It’s protein-rich and contains many nutrient-dense herbs and vegetables like garlic, scallions, and dill.
