This Pan-Roasted Beef recipe results in the perfect caveman-friendly meal.
You’ve got a hunk of beef for protein (look for grass-fed, organic beef if possible), a side of nutrient-dense broccoli, and your greens, which you know we want to see piled on every plate.

INGREDIENTS
- 4 ounces lean filet of beef
- to taste salt
- to taste freshly ground black pepper
- 1 cup broccoli, steamed
- 2 cups mixed greens
- 1 tablespoon Keri’s Lemon Dressing
DIRECTIONS
- Preheat the oven to 400 F.
- Season the filet with salt and pepper.
- Lightly spray an ovenproof skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium-high heat until nearly smoking.
- Add the filet; cook each side for approximately 5 minutes.
- Transfer the pan to the oven and roast 8 minutes more for medium rare.
- Let filet rest at room temperature while steaming the broccoli and tossing the salad with dressing.
