When a smoothie is sweet, that’s usually a bad sign. Not so with this Cookies and Coconut Smoothie.

Instead of added sugar or tons of fruit, this blend is sweetened with just a few dates and balanced with cashews, cocoa powder, and vanilla.

Bonus: Cacao adds heart-health boosting flavanols.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup almond milk, unsweetened
  • 1/4 cup cashews
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened coconut
  • 5 medjool dates
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

DIRECTIONS

  • Add all ingredients to blender and blend until smooth.
  • Pour into glass and enjoy!

WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE

Do we really need to explain? This creamy smoothie tastes like a chocolate coconut cookie but is filled with antioxidants instead of white flour and sugar. Enough said.
