Italian Pork Sliders

4 ounces ground pork

2 tablespoons chopped onion

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 tablespoon chopped parsley

¼ teaspoon dried oregano

3 tablespoons tomato sauce

1 ounce fresh mozzarella cheese, split in half

2 pieces Boston lettuce



Italian Pork Sliders
  1. Combine the pork, onion, garlic, parsley, and oregano in a medium bowl. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  2. Divide and form into 2 patties and flatten to about ½" thick.
  3. Coat a nonstick skillet with cooking spray and place the skillet over medium heat. Reduce the heat to low. Add the patties and cook 4 to 5 minutes, flip, and cook 4 more minutes.
  4. Flip the patties once more and spoon 1 tablespoon tomato sauce on top of each. Top each with cheese. Cover and cook about 2 more minutes, or until the cheese melts.
  5. Place each patty on piece of lettuce and serve.


It’s a flavor-filled spin on a traditional beef slider. Ground pork is an excellent source of protein. Tomato sauce adds nutrients like vitamin C, K, lycopene, and potassium. Pair the sliders with sauteed greens, roasted vegetables, or a big salad and you’ve got a healthy meal.
