Three-Seed Energy Balls

Looking for a sweet treat that’s also packed full of nutrition? If so, these Three-Seed Energy Balls might be your next go-to snack fix. Like their name implies, they’re perfect for popping in your bag for a quick burst of energy during your busy day—and they’re gluten-free, and super quick and easy to make. What’s not to love about that?

The trio of seeds in this recipe—chia, flax and hemp—are great sources of plant-based protein, fiber, minerals like magnesium, phosphorus and calcium, and healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Three cheers to that!



  • ½ cup almond flour
  • 1 scoop vegan vanilla protein powder
  • ¼ cup almond butter
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate chips
  • Water (as needed)


  • Combine ingredients in a medium-sized bowl.
  • Mix until your batter is a dough-like mixture.
  • If dough seems too dry, add a small amount of water.
  • Roll into balls.
