Spicy Iced Latte
You don’t have to pay big money for a fancy iced coffee. It’s easy to whip up a tasty morning buzz at home by adding in some spices you likely have in your cabinet. This recipe is a twist on your iced pumpkin spice latte.
Ingredients
Directions
- Brew 1 cup of coffee or espresso—set aside
- Pour 1/2 cup of your favorite milk over some ice in your cocktail shaker
- Add a pinch of nutmeg, allspice, and cinnamon to shaker
- Top off with coffee and shake
- Pour mixture into your favorite glass and enjoy!
WHY WE LOVE IT
In addition to saving money, the spices used here are full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory benefits. And they’re good for the gut too. Cinnamon has been found to help in the regulation of intestinal microbiota and acts as a prebiotic promoting the growth of beneficial bacteria in the gut.
