Recipe courtesy of Solana Nolfo, founder of Solana’s Sweet Life. Follow Solana on Instagram at @solanastar. You’ve heard of almond flour and coconut flour…but banana flour? Our resident healthy, grain-free baker Solana Nolfo is all about it these days. Solana is a Nutritious Life-Certified culinary health coach and the founder of Solana’s Sweet Life. And she likes to bake with banana flour because it’s both nutritious and has great texture. In these fudgy brownies, it’s just the beginning. They’re also made with creamy, omega-rich avocados and are filled with flavor boosters that are good for you—like unsweetened cocoa powder, vanilla, and nut butter. Make a batch for the fam…and then be prepared to make another.

- In a mixing bowl with an immersion blender (or in a food processor), blend all ingredients except for the banana flour, baking soda, and chocolate chips. It will be a pudding-like consistency. If using a food processor, pour the mixture into a mixing bowl.
- Using a spatula, stir in the banana flour and baking soda and mix well.
- Spread batter into an 8x8 brownie pan that has been lined with parchment paper. Top with dark chocolate chips, if using.
- Bake at 350° for 23 to 24 minutes.
- Let cool completely and enjoy!
