Raspberry Oat Smoothie

Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 1

Bet you didn’t know you could put oats in a smoothie. It may sound strange, but they’re actually an awesome addition. Just like one of the benefits of a bowl of oatmeal is that it’s really satiating, oats make your smoothie thicker, heartier, and more satisfying. Suddenly, your blended beverage really fills you up, so you’re not hungry long before lunchtime. In this recipe, they’re paired with antioxidant-rich raspberries and creamy kefir. You won’t be disappointed.

Ingredients

1 cup kefir
1 cup frozen raspberries
1/4 cup raw rolled oats
1 teaspoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon honey (optional)

Directions

  1. Place all ingredients in blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE You get fiber from the fruit and oats and gut-healthy probiotics from the kefir, all while sipping on what tastes like a chocolate-covered raspberry. Yum.
