Berry Homemade Popsicles

Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 4

The ice cream truck jingle is playing over and over and over and your kids are looking at you with sad eyes. If only they had a cool mom. Solution: turn making their own sweet, fruity popsicles into a fun group activity. They (and you) will love how easy it is to blend the fresh berries, golden honey, and creamy, tart Greek yogurt together and simply pour it all into the molds. When they’re ready, they (and you) will love every last lick. Trust us: ownership is a powerful motivator, and when kids feel like they created something, they want to do it over and over. Even if it means forgetting about that SpongeBob Popsicle their friends keep bragging about.

Ingredients

1 cup Greek yogurt
1 teaspoon honey
1 cup frozen raspberries
1 cup frozen blueberries
popsicle molds

Directions

  1. Place yogurt, honey, and blueberries in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour into molds and freeze until solid.
WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE How many desserts can you prep in five minutes or less? Not many. And this fresh, simple recipe teaches kids that fresh, simple flavors from whole foods can be just as (or more!) sweet and delicious than the artificial ones packed with added sugars.
