Rosemary Spiced Nuts

Time: 25 minutes
Servings: 1

Rosemary spiced nuts in a white serving bowl.

A handful of plain nuts is a great snack on its own. Take a few minutes to dress them up like we do here, and you’re going to want another handful. Sticking them in the oven gives them a roasted flavor and an even more satisfying crunch. Rosemary adds fresh herbaceousness. Pro tip: Make a big batch and portion them out into small bags that you can throw in your purse all week long. They’ll help you get over the afternoon slump at the office, or come in handy on a long car ride.

Ingredients

2 cups raw mixed nuts
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 tablespoon dried rosemary, crushed
Dash cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon curry powder

WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE Nuts are a great source of plant protein and healthy fats. They also provide many valuable micronutrients, including vitamins, minerals, and powerful antioxidants. Some nuts, such as walnuts, are packed with linoleic acid, an omega-3 that’s great for your brain, and Brazil nuts are an excellent source of selenium. Also, the little bit of rosemary in this recipe goes a long way, adding a delicious, fragrant twist. RELATED: Raw vs. Roasted vs. Sprouted: Which Nuts Are Healthiest?
