Homemade Toothpaste with Strawberries

Time: 2 minutes
Servings: 1

Toothpaste is one of those over-complicated products that comes in a million varieties for the sake of marketing. Whitening! Ultra-whitening! Icy cool! It also often includes all kinds of chemical ingredients that you’re better off avoiding, like propylene glycol, for one. At the base of many of the recipes, though, is baking soda, a simple, clean, naturally whitening ingredient. Add a strawberry, and it tastes much better.

Ingredients

1 strawberry
1/4 teaspoon baking soda

Directions

  1. In small bowl, wash the strawberry until it is entirely broken down and then mix in the baking soda.
  2. Brush teeth with this recipe once or twice per week.
