Afternoon Sipping Broth

eating for a strong immune system

Recipe courtesy of Danielle Capalino, excerpted from “Healthy Gut, Flat Stomach Drinks.” I got this idea when I saw bone broth-juice combinations at the health food store. It may sound unusual, but give it a try. You can enjoy it warm or chilled, but I find the consistency is better when served warm.

Ingredients

1 cup chicken bone broth
1 ounce carrot juice
1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
1/8 teaspoon sea salt

Directions

  1. Place the chicken bone broth in a small pot and heat over medium heat.
  2. Add all the other ingredients and stir to combine. Serve warm.
