Blueberries are so nutrient-dense it can be tough not to add them to nearly everything. This takes it even a step further, by utilizing other parts of the plant. Blueberry tea is made from the leaves of the blueberry plant, although some brands also add the dried fruit to their herbal blend to infuse even more blueberry flavor. While you could drink it hot, the flavor lends itself more to a chilled, refreshing summer beverage.

Ingredients

2 bags blueberry tea
2 slices lime
8 ounces boiling water
4 ounces cold water
handful ice cubes

Directions

  1. Steep blueberry tea bags in boiling water for 1 to 3 minutes with lime slices.
  2. Add to cold water and ice cubes.
WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE This drink has the sweet, fruity flavor of Snapple, without all of the added sugar. Just like the fresh fruit, blueberry leaves contain antioxidants, so steeping them into your tea is not a bad idea.
