Low Sugar Berry Green Smoothie

eating for a strong immune system

Why is it important to sip on low-sugar smoothies? Sugar’s bad for your bod all of the time, but blend it in a beverage and it gets into your bloodstream even faster, leading to inevitable spikes (and subsequent crashes). That’s no problemo, here, since the only source is what occurs naturally in the berries. Plus, we add lots of greens, healthy fats, and plenty of protein, making sugar a tiny footnote among nutrients. Enjoy for an energizing, filling breakfast or after your fave spin class to refuel. Ingredients

1/2 cup frozen strawberries
1/3 cup frozen blueberries
1 handful spinach
1 handful kale
1/3 avocado
1 tablespoon almond butter
1 scoop Life's Abundance Vanilla Protein
1 cup almond milk

Directions

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth.
WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE It’s as green as can be (the way we like our smoothies) but is sweet and yummy thanks to the vanilla-almond butter-berry combo. Plus, the addition of avocado makes it extra creamy.
