Emma Winters
Emma Winters grew up in Omaha, Nebraska. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in animal science, she served as an AmeriCorps literacy tutor in Palm Beach County, Florida. She then moved to New Jersey where she served in Foodcorps for a year and gained a new appreciation for gardening and growing one’s own food. Emma is now serving another year in AmeriCorps…this time as an agricultural educator for a nonprofit organization called Whispering Roots which is located in her hometown.
